NOWScouts Survival Kit Guide

Preparation Is The Key

Emergencies rarely provide warning. Natural disasters, severe weather, power outages, civil emergencies, and accidents can leave families without electricity, communications, transportation, or access to stores for several days.

Every NOWScout should maintain a basic survival kit and understand how to use every item inside it.

Remember:

Skills are more important than gear.
A prepared person with simple equipment is far more capable than an unprepared person with expensive equipment.
